Theme sentence: God is the glorious one whom we should fear. He is the one whose approval matters most, and he is the one whose approval we have in Jesus Christ.

Aim sentence: God is glorious so we don’t have to fear others. Our fear of God should drive us to love others more instead of fearing them.

I saw the Lord (1)

King Uzziah may have died but the Lord is gloriously seated on His throne in heaven.

Nothing more Glorious! (2 – 4)

Isaiah is given a view of God’s glory – the flaming seraphim can’t stop declaring His holiness with booming voices – the whole earth is full of His Glory.

Have you begun to realise how glorious God is?

Humbled by His Glorious sight (5)

Isaiah is humbled by this view – He realises his unworthiness to be in the Glorious Lord’s presence.

Has God’s glory humbled you? God is the glorious one whom we should fear. He is the one whose approval matters most.

Freed by His glorious grace (6 – 8)

The Holy sacrifice on God’s alter takes his guilt – pays for his sin – and frees Him to go and proclaim his glory.
