God, the THREE in ONE, is Love

God is Love” is a Trinitarian statement.

God didn’t need to create us – but out of the overflow of the perfect love that always existed in the Trinity – God decided to create us.

Trinity - in action through us

The Love of God our Father (2:28–3:1)

All of us here who know and love the Lord God we are the adopted children of God the Father.

We are family!

Behold!       How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!

The more we reflect and meditate and experience the love that God our Father has lavished on us it changes us.

More than that, God’s love is made complete in us.

God’s love made complete in us (4:7–12)

1 John 4:12 “His love is made complete in us.”

What John is saying is that God’s love is made complete in us as it is carried on and shown through us.

The world must see God’s love though us!

One of the greatest defences for the truth of the Gospel is the love that God’s children have for one another.

If we want to see the world around us saturated with the good news of Jesus, it will start with us loving one another as family.

Now what?

Family life is all of life.

Being family is a great joy, but if we really are family it will be exhausting at times.

But as we love one another in the everyday stuff of life God’s love is made complete in us.
