Given every spiritual blessing (3 – 6)
In Christ, we have so much to praise God for. We’ve been chosen, predestined, adopted as sons. God chose us to be the objects of his love – that is a mind blowing thought!
Lavished with grace (7 – 10)
In order to adopt us, the redemption price needed to be paid to release us from the guilt of sin – to forgive us. Through Christ’s blood, this grace has been lavished on us and we are now united as His people under Christ.

Why has Christ done all this? For His own glory sake. We have been saved so that we can glory in God and make His glory known!
The Spirit guarantees our hope (13 – 14)
As we live for God’s glory now, the Holy Spirit protects and preserves God’s children until we reach our final glorious inheritance – where for all eternity we will be giving God all the glory.
Now what?
This should all fuel our prayers. Our hearts and lives and lips should be overflowing with praise for all that God has done!
